And He Was Likened Unto God

"I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him." Dan 7:13 It is awe-inspiring when we behold the majesty of Christ Jesus, our Lord. Both Daniel and the Apostle John shared a great testimony of this witness of beholding him, the true Lamb of God.  Many say He is God, while others say he is a form of the deity of God, but I say, as the Word conveys, He remarkably is the Son of God.

Yes, He is likened to God in many aspects, i.e., in Word, in deed, in power, in knowledge, and also might. However, even as Jesus spake the words, "me and my father are one," yet, he went even farther as said, "I only speak what is told of me by the father." Even when one looks at the miracles wrought in both the Old and New Testaments, Jesus did not perform the same type miracles nor of the same magnitude as his father.  He so much as he often stated, I came not to bear witness of myself (John the Baptist, his cousin) but to fulfil that which was stated by the prophets of old. Here Daniel witnessed a vision of the Messiah's earthly visit when the reign of Jesus's kingdom was at hand. The following referenced from the Matthew Henry Commentator on the Book of Daniel, as reads:  "Our Savior seems plainly to refer to this vision when he says (Jn. 5:27) that the Father has therefore given him authority to execute judgment because he is the Son of man, and because he is the person whom Daniel saw in vision, to whom a kingdom and dominion were to be given."

Again, what was the vision that Daniel saw playing before him? That after the kingdoms of men fell, due to the persecuting of God's own, the bible teaches us that the Ancient of Days, comes and slays the last beast of who's body is thrown in the everlasting fire, then the Ancient of Days receives Jesus, his son into His presence through a great and mighty host. Here he is being introduced into the company of his father.

Just as He did upon his ascension when the disciples stood gazing up at him and being taken out of sight by the cloud, he came into the presence of his father with great triumph. Where He now sits on the right of the father, he being the savior of the world and the last one standing when it is all said and done. This was written so that you the saint of God would be encouraged and empowered through this encouragement to live the holy life God has commanded. That we be great witnesses of His triumphant return in His glory and in His magnificence. For every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Christ is King, He is Lord, forever and ever and ever and foremost. Our God, Our King, Our Love...Jesus Christ.
