Same Message, Different Audience
No matter how difficult it may be to deliver this word tonight I am going to do it. I cannot remember when the last time I actually developed a full blog post (not saying there haven't been many messages to post) in contrast to commenting and reviewing other posts, stories and articles.
What's important for me to remember that no matter how many others that are writing and expressing views and/or educating readers, it is just as essential for me to continue developing my voice as well as educating my readers. It's not enough to provide snippets here and there of the messages that God has given us. We have to fully engage ourselves in the Word to deliver it precisely and timely. So with that I offer first an apology to those readers who have patiently waited and to those who have dropped subtle and not so subtle hints about the impacting messages that I wrote down but never shared.
I find it rather frustrating even disturbing at times when I have worked hard to produce strong people, teams, children, departments, organizations, etc., only to find that in the end o all your hard work you're left staring at a group that just didn't get it. Rather than going totally ballistic all you can do sometimes is simply shake your head, and being totally honest here, I've had to shed a few tears because of the hopeless feeling this incited.
But one thing I have come to find out about God's love for us is that he cares enough to send the messenger to lift you and show you that the message He gave is correct and if the people didn't get it, don't trash the message, but rather, change the audience; change who you're talking to. Yes, change who you're talking to.
The message being rejected does not mean it was cursed - the people refused to embrace change and embark upon new levels of operating in preparation for the Kingdom. I have to always remember that just because individuals go to church, administrate a church order, have giftings and callings, in no way signifies that they are Kingdom-minded individuals neither organizations. If they reject the message it doesn't mean the message is cursed - it means they hear and aren't listening. Move on!
Change your audience but keep the message intact. Let go of the dire need to make others "get it" or "see it" your way. Forget that for minute and evaluate if the people are ready to receive such. Evaluate whether or not the vision of that house (if there is a vision or if there is an order) is receptive to new processes, reaching higher goals in non-traditional methods, if they're ready to embrace change and willing to move at warp speed then you've hit your audience! Same message - Different audience!
